October 27, 2018 I was living a parents worst nightmare when I received a call that my child passed away in a rollover car accident. Nothing prepares you for this kind of loss. As the days unfolded and began preparing his funeral, I would come to realize that everything has a pricetag associated with death. One particular pricetag I could not wrap my head around was $75 for a haircut, a deceased child's haircut at that. My eyes widened and my heart fell, I was shocked and appalled. Luckily for me, I'm a licensed cosmetologist, I've been cutting my son's hair his entire life. 

I approached the Funeral Director and requested that I be allowed the opportunity to give my child his final haircut. She was surprised that I would have the desire to do this on my own child. The next day I returned with my clippers, shears and began one of the most humbling haircuts in my lifetime. 

I am here to help parents that have just experienced the worst moments of their life by offering to give that same meaningful final haircut, their Last Locks. As parents, we keep that first tooth lost, we keep a locket of their first haircut. I am here to give you their last 💙
